Our Approach

What Makes Stable Wisdom Family Coaching Unique?

OUR APPROACH

As a parent, I longed for a space where our family could unite, share in laughter, deepen our connections, and collaboratively create a plan to enhance our family life with thoughtful guidance and objectivity. After exploring numerous approaches, I discovered Jim Sisley. His ability to build on our individual strengths and skillfully guide us toward our aspirations was nothing short of life-changing. I will always hold deep gratitude for the impact Jim has had on our family.

Learning to identify our needs and goals, and sharing them with one another in a nurturing and safe environment, is a transformative experience. We are fortunate to have a picturesque 15-acre horse farm, where we coach families, offering a unique and enriching atmosphere. This beautiful setting allows each family member to explore different perspectives as we enjoy quiet moments together, interact with our horses, engage in playful activities, journal, hike, and much more. These shared experiences empower us to step boldly “out of our comfort zones ” and uncover the valuable tools we already possess but may not know how to harness.

The purpose of the experiences is to open our hearts and become more self aware. Accepting that we are all human and doing the best we can, Stable Wisdom offers resources and mediation as family members listen to one another talk about their feelings, hopes and dreams. Understanding one another and making agreements, which will include compromise for everyone, builds trust and cohesiveness.

HOW IS COACHING DIFERENT FROM THERAPY?

It’s crucial to recognize the distinction between coaching and therapy. Both paths offer profound opportunities for growth. Coaching invites you to align with your deepest needs and inner wisdom, set meaningful goals, develop actionable strategies, and create the life you envision. Coaches become a vital part of your journey, supporting you every step of the way. In contrast, Therapy delves into mental health concerns and past emotional traumas, offering insights through the exploration of previous experiences. Typically, therapy involves a diagnosis, and Therapists maintain anonymity, often not sharing their personal lives or values. Both coaching and therapy serve as powerful tools for personal transformation. The key lies in discerning which approach resonates with you in the present moment, understanding that one does not exclude the other. Embrace the journey of self-discovery and growth, and trust that the right path will reveal itself to you.
